Farewell, Professor Luke & Charmaine

Last night our BJJ Professor Luke ran his last classes with Trifecta Martial Arts, after 5 years of teaching with us. It was a bittersweet moment as many of his old and new students came to send him off in the best way they knew how - 20 rolls! Our Admin Manager and Assistant Kids Coach Charmaine will be joining Luke as they both leave for a brand new journey in KL. They have been such a great asset to the school, and played a huge role in building the culture of family within the Bukit Timah branch. Truly, we would not be the same without them.

Luke’s parting message is one to be treasured: “This is second home to me, having lived here for so long. Many of the students here started their martial arts journey with me, and to see them grow and develop through all these years means a lot  for me as a teacher. As much as I am excited to be starting a new chapter of my career with another martial arts gym, it is a tough move to have to leave everyone here behind because of all the great memories we’ve made together. But I know for sure that whenever I return to Singapore, this is the place I will be coming back to, to visit this family of mine.”

It is sad to part indeed, but we are also very happy to see you begin another chapter of your lives. This is not farewell, but see you later.
